EXCLUSIVE: Introducing Eliza Parker!

I’m so excited about this! I’ve been in contact with founder of Eliza Parker, the new plus size boutique,  Jessica Tenaglia  to bring you an exclusive look at their new line and the business! Their designs are classy, chic, and definitely fashion forward.

Jessica Tenaglia is a plus-size Wharton MBA and founder of Eliza Parker,

“I have been plus size my entire life and had always struggled to find great fitting, fashionable clothing,” says Tenaglia. “We founded Eliza Parker because we believe the plus size apparel market is wildly underserved. More than 40% of women in the US are plus size, yet an overwhelming number of apparel retailers do not serve them.”

The team of Eliza Parker is comprised of plus size women who design for sizes 10-28 and bring a unique perspective to plus size garments and the company is based out of San Francisco, CA.

“We do more than just take a trend and change the size. We think about what curvy women want when they shop for clothing. We make sure that the fit is exceptional and then we add details.”

The line  ranges from business wear to chic dresses and also offers handmade jewelry from San Francisco and coordinating clutches. They also have the “Perfect Fit” system that breaks women’s body shapes into these categories: strawberry, pear, pineapple, apple, and hour glass to help women find which dresses will fit their shape the best.

And one of my favorite plus size models just happens to be the face of Eliza Parker, the one and only Fluvia Lacerda who has modelled for several companies, such as Monif C and Torrid.

Next week there is going to be a launch party even that includes shopping and cocktails in NYC, you can RSVP here. I won’t be able to make it this time, but Jessica said there will be more events coming up in various cities, including on possibly in Boston, and I’ll be sure to be there! Oh, and how could I forget, you’ll have the chance to meet Fluvia at the event!

Check out this behind the scenes photo of the shoot with Fluvia:

Jessica added in an e-mail to me,

“We’ll also be making a very exciting announcement at our launch party.  I am sworn to secrecy now, but the announcement will be about new designs coming later this fall.We have a lot of new and fun things coming in the next few months.  Eliza Parker will continue to offer classic cocktail dresses and separates, but we also plan to add more fashion forward pieces with fun details (like the Bordeaux dress).  We are also adding a bunch of stylish belts to our accessories line.  I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with belts so you’ll see a lot of those from EP down the line.”

Of course, I am THRILLED about the belts, I have more wide belts than I know what to do with. Three drawers of them in my antique vanity. And I almost went on a belt binge yesterday at the Torrid 50% of Clearance sale…but I stopped myself. Really. And I am lucky enough to be the first blogger to get to review an item from Eliza Parker! I chose the Bordeaux Dress for its versatility and the fact that it’s made of eyelet – which is gorgeous. It has great detailing and I should be receiving it soon to review next week.
