There are several trends that I have been dying to try for Spring. I’ve been contemplating them for months and this past weekend I finally made the leap. Here are my Spring Fatshions:
1. THE JUMPSUIT
I am obsessed with the idea of the jumpsuit. Most likely because I have a strong penchant for 70s decor
and fashion. Obviously, the jumpsuits of today are updated – flowy legs, fitted waists. Not the crazy 70s suits with flared out legs and abstract patterns. So, I found myself a jumpsuit. It’s pretty simple – but this is my first foray into the world of jumpsuits.
The Verdict: I wore it to work with a blazer, a long necklace and a pair of 4″ heel booties. And I got a lot of compliments! However, the one downside to a jumpsuit – going to the bathroom. You have to completely disrobe! So, yeah, that’s awkward.
2. THE ROMPER
Despite how much I hate the name of the romper (because it
makes me feel like I am a 5 year old going to play on the playground with the mean little girls), I love this design. So, last summer I rocked a vintage 1960s romper. It had black wide leg shorts and blue and tan striped top. It’s pretty fab. This year, I wanted to go for something more modern. And I LOVE this romper – it’s flowy and hip and I can wear it as pictured or in a more summery casual fashion.
And finally….
3. HAREM PANTS
I have no idea why, but I am a sucker for harem pants. I think it’s because I like to rock ridiculously high heels everyday, and these pants really show them off. I recently picked up a pair for $12.00 at NY&Co, and I love them. I rock them with a sweater dress (which I am currently wearing) but I have plans to wear them with tunics and such for the spring and summer months. The pants in the pictures are not the ones I have, mine have ties at the bottom so I can wear them at the ankle or as capris.
What are YOUR top trends for the Spring?
