This week I…
- Went to a cafe in Vermont and actually sat down and wrote for a long time
- Celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday with all of my other hens
- Had an amazing dinner with two friends and had a long productive discussion about American culture and physical/verbal violence
- Switched to drinking red wine for the winter
- Finally remembered to buy two new noserings
This week I learned…
- That I have to ignore other peoples’ anger/violence and not let it affect me so deeply; I can’t change people, but I can change my reaction to them
- My sarcasm can be a bit too much sometimes, and I apologize to my friends and hope they know I love them!
- I really, REALLY love cleaning as a recreational activity.
- I’m a bit self-centered and need to be more aware of that
- I am really fortunate to be able to sit at a table with a group of 8 people that I adore
This week I confess…
- I had a complete mental/emotional breakdown on Tuesday
- I spent too much money drinking coffee and eating bagels
- I bid $70 on a vintage typewriter (and luckily didn’t win!)
- For a few minutes, I really missed my old life, but it passed quickly
- I wore my grey winter hat to every social occasion – it’s my new favorite accessory
