The Epic Return of CARGO PANTS

I’ve been saying this for a week now. Cargo pants are back. In a good way. I mean it. Mark my words ladies, cargo pants are the new trend for fall. I know, I know, they typically suck. They are usually make out of some sort of khaki material, are quasi-wideleg, and have awkward pockets. They generally don’t look good with things. I know ALL of these points. The most important one being they went out of style in roughly 1997.

But they are back. And I like them. And I am going to BRING BACK cargo pants. And as Skinny Sarah has just pointed out:

“I went on a long walk/bikeride, and I had to stop at the store to buy my vitamins and put them in one pocket, put a bag in another pocket for dog poop, my phone in another pocket, and finally, keys in ANOTHER pocket. (And that bottle of vitamins was a big bottle – they were gummy vitamins.”

So really, there are LOGICAL reasons to bring these back, too. And designers have jumped on board,  Emilio Pucci, Michael Kors, and Roberto Cavalli. And the celebs have been rocking them on and off, from Hilary Duff to Khloe Kardashian.  So, where am I going to find my cargo pants? Cargo Pants for the Fatshionista?

1. Cargo Pants from Norma Kamali for Wal-Mart: $20

2. Combat Trouser from Simply Be: $58

3. Z. Cavaricci Skinny Cargo Jeans from Torrid: $55

4. Utility Trousers from Next: $31

Are you going to rock cargo pants this fall? Why or why not? If so, what pair?

I love cargo pants! they bring me back to my days as a kid. I would totally rock the last pair (number 4) as I feel they are the coolest option and the least likely to draw attention to my thighs. I'm thinking the skinny cargo pant is kinda weird. Not feeling it myself.

I love the first pair. I have a pair I've been wearing lately. Other than that I've only had a couple of pairs in the past but I'm definitely feeling them right now too.
